1. Free Air Ionization Chamber

This type employs ambient air as the detection material for detecting radiant quantities. Primarily used as a primary standard for laboratories that carry out accurate dose measurements involving X-ray calibration.


2. Sealed Ionization Chamber

It is a chamber that is closed with a specific volume of gas inside, is mainly used in a portable radiation survey meter, and is reliable due to the constant pressure of the gas inside.


3. Pressurized Ionization With increased gas pressure, greater sensitivity is achieved. In most cases, these chambers are used to measure environmental radiation.


4. Well-Type Varian Ionization Chamber Well-type chambers, which have a cavity in their design, have been found useful in nuclear medicine, especially in measuring radioactivity using accurate measures.
